Typically, before sold in stores or restaurants, vegetables are coated with pesticides. It is best that you buy vegetables online if you don’t want anybody in your family to be affected by pesticides, because it is mostly organic.

What are the ingredients?

Active Ingredients

Active ingredients are the chemicals used in a pesticide product blended together to kill the pests. Along with the percentage and weight, active ingredients must be listed by name on the packaging of the pesticide drug. There are 3 different types of active ingredients. Conventional, there are all other additives besides conventional pesticides and antimicrobial pesticides. Antimicrobials, which are chemicals or mixtures of chemicals used on inanimate objects and surfaces to kill or inhibit the growth of toxic microorganisms, whether they be bacteria , viruses or fungi. Biopesticides, which are product types that are derived from other natural materials.

Inert Ingredients

Pesticide products contain at least one active ingredient and other inactive ingredients which are deliberately added. Called “inert ingredients” by a chemical laboratory association, they are combined with active ingredients to form a pesticide product. Inerts are chemicals, additives, and other substances, which include certain food goods and certain natural materials. “Inert” is not a non-toxic word. Inert ingredients play a key role in pesticide efficacy and the performance of products. Examples of functions inerts can serve include:

  • Act as a solution to help active ingredients get through the plant’s skin
  • Improve the method of using the pesticides either spraying or foaming
  • Extend the product’s sustainability on shelf.
  • Safety issues improved for the user.
  • Protect the pesticide from vanishing under the sunlight
